Dr. Vari is a UCLA trained board certified psychiatrist in private practice in Brentwood, California. He provides psychotherapy and medication management for a broad variety of mental health issues. He graduated from the UCLA Semel Institute of Psychiatry where he was Chief Resident of the Bipolar Disorders Clinic. Prior to coming west for residency, Dr. Vari attended two Ivy League universities. Dr. Vari graduated with honors from Brown University as an Undergraduate and then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Vari received the Strecker Award at the University of Pennsylvania which is awarded annually to the most outstanding student entering the field of psychiatry.
Dr. Vari is currently accepting new patients. Dr. Vari is comfortable treating patients with a variety of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, ADHD, bipolar disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and drug and alcohol dependence. Treatment may entail medications, psychotherapy (talk therapy), or a combination of the two. If you are already seeing someone else for therapy, Dr. Vari is happy to collaborate with your therapist to ensure that you are getting quality comprehensive mental health treatment. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Vari is a clinical instructor in the department of Psychiatry at UCLA. He volunteers to supervise and teach psychiatric residents in the Addiction Medicine Clinic about the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of drug and alcohol dependence. Dr. Vari is licensed to prescribe Suboxone, a specialized medication used in the treatment of opioid (e.g. Vicodin, Norco, Lortab, Percocet, Oxycontin, heroin) dependence. |
